Aldermore has announced that it is sponsoring teenage motor racing sensation Jamie Chadwick (pictured above, right).

The specialist bank will become Jamie's principal backer for the British Racing Driver's Club British Formula 3 Championship season.

Jamie – who has been tipped to become the first female F1 driver in decades – was awarded her first trophy at the age of 17 when she won the British GT Championship.

The sponsorship will see Aldermore's branding appear on the body of the car, wing mirrors, as well as Jamie's racing overalls and helmet.

Carl D'Ammassa, group managing director of business finance at Aldermore (pictured above, left) said that the bank was delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor Jamie as she continued to fulfil her ambitions in the world of motor racing.

“There are many parallels between us – she is a real go-getter, works hard to achieve her dreams and confronts the norm – which is totally in line with our aspirations to support our customer's goals.

“SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy and we will continue to support them to seek and seize opportunities just like Jamie, as she aims to become the first female F1 driver in decades.”

Jamie added that she was delighted to have partnered with Aldermore for the coming season.

“There are an amazing number of synergies between what we are trying to achieve in our respective industries, and I have been really impressed by their refreshing and contemporary approach.

“I'm very grateful for Aldermore's support and I have no doubt that this is just the start of a long and successful relationship.”
