Aldermore has announced that Sue Hayes (pictured above) is set to join the bank as group managing director of retail finance.
Sue will join the specialist bank in June in the newly created role and will also become a member of Aldermore's executive committee.
With over 25 years of banking experience, Sue will move to Aldermore from Barclays, where her most recent role was managing director of premier and community segments and saving products.
Prior to this, Sue worked at Santander UK, where she held a number of senior roles across retail and commercial banking.
At Aldermore, Sue will be responsible for managing the bank's existing mortgages and savings businesses as well as expanding into new areas.
Phillip Monks, CEO at Aldermore, said he was delighted that Sue was joining the bank and looked forward to welcoming her.
“Sue is highly respected, brings considerable banking experience to her new role, and will be a real asset to the bank's executive committee.
“Aldermore has established itself as a key supporter of professional landlords and homeowners that do not fit the cookie-cutter approach of many providers, with our award-winning savings proposition offering competitive rates over the long term.
“Going forward, we aim to broaden our offering, further helping individuals to achieve their goals, and Sue's experience and knowledge will play a key role in our future development.”
Since its launch in 2009, Aldermore has provided £6.2bn of total mortgage lending and as of the end of June 2017, held £7.3bn of customer deposits.
