Card manufacturer allpay.cards aspires to become the “number one” UK card provider to challenger banks.
The company — which launched in 2008 — is fully certified by Mastercard and Visa and produces credit and debit cards for banks and building societies in addition to prepaid, transit and ID cards for a range of industry sectors.
“In the next five years, our target is to be the number one UK provider of cards to challenger banks,” said Jamie Taylor, head of card operations at allpay.cards (pictured above), in an exclusive interview with Specialist Banking.
“We want to be the number one — the one that everybody comes to, the key player and producer of cards for challenger banks in the UK.”
Regarding its association with the specialist banking sector, Jamie added: “I think we're quite key in the challenger/specialist bank market.
“It really is our number one business area.
“We've been involved in some of the really key challenger bank launches over the last few years."
Jamie explained that allpay.cards’ manufacturing facility has end-to-end UK operations, which enables it to look after “whole projects”.
allpay.cards was recently named as the card provider for the new Amaiz mobile business banking service.
Update: 26th September 2019
The original article has been updated. Following its publication, Jamie said: “Although challenger banks are our core market, allpay.cards works with banks of all sizes.”
