Unity Trust Bank has appointed Steve Clarke as its new director of commercial banking.
Steve joins the commercial bank’s relationship management team, which now has a headcount of 18 employees.
He previously served at Lloyds, where he was regional director of commercial banking.
Before that, he worked as a director at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management.
This announcement comes after the bank appointed Derek Prince as its head of commercial banking in October.
Margaret Willis, chief executive officer at Unity Trust Bank, said: “Steve is an energetic, commercially focused leader and I am delighted that we have been able to secure an individual with such broad experience and whose values are so clearly aligned with ours.
“Steve’s appointment will enable us to build on the material progress we have made in the last three years, further develop lasting relationships with SMEs and amplify our social impact.”
Steve added: “I’m really excited about working for Unity and with my new team.
“The prospect of working for a bank who only lends to organisations and SMEs who share our values and philosophy is really exciting.”
