Metro Bank has revealed the opening date for its first Bristol store.

The store – located in Broadmead Shopping Quarter – will launch on Friday 28th September with a two-day long party for local residents and businesses.

Over 4,000 safe deposit boxes and coin-counting facilities will be available at the store.

The event to celebrate the arrival of Metro’s 59th store will begin at 8am on the Friday, with entertainment including stilt walkers, a DJ, free manicures and face painting.

Craig Donaldson, CEO at Metro Bank, said: “Joining the Bristol community is a real milestone for us and we can’t wait to serve the local residents and businesses in the area.

“As well as providing unparalleled service and convenience, our new store will act as a community hub hosting a range of networking, charity fundraisers and family events throughout the year for local people.”

John Hirst, CEO at Bristol Broadmead BID, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Metro Bank to Bristol, taking pride of place in the heart of our shopping district.

“The banking revolution will bring more choice to local residents and businesses for their banking needs.”
