Monzo has introduced Monzo Web – a lite web interface that enables customers to access their accounts in an emergency.
The digital bank’s customers – who are able to manage their accounts entirely through the app – can request a PIN reminder, arrange an overdraft or ask for help from customer support without having to wait on hold or stand in line at a branch.
However, if they are separated from their phones or wallets, Monzo Web can help them to take the necessary action to get everything back to normal.
Customers can sign in to Monzo Web using the email address registered to their Monzo account to:
• view their 50 most recent transactions
• freeze or defrost their debit cards
Francisco Carvalho Araújo, product manager at Monzo, said that it was building a bank that lived on customers’ smartphones.
“But if your wallet’s been stolen or you’ve lost your phone, it’s important to have a backup.
“Our community of customers told us they’d find it useful to access Monzo online, so we’ve built a basic web interface that everyone can use when they need to.”
