Unisys Corporation has announced the appointment of Simon Healy (pictured above) as industry director for its financial services business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In his new role, Simon will drive strategy for the company's financial services portfolio, including core banking, mortgages and its omni-channel banking solution Elevate.
Simon previously worked at Aldermore, where he was managing director of savings.
Prior to that, he held leadership positions at Heritable Bank, Icesave and Capital One.
Simon said: “Unisys has a terrific portfolio of innovative financial services solutions, with an astonishing track record in resilience, stability and security.
“From my experience, start-ups or challenger banks often look for small technology partners to begin with.
“Once the business is launched, they often realise that these partners cannot scale to support the organisation properly.
“Unisys has that scale and industry heritage that financial institutions can rely on and I'm extremely excited to be part of the team.”
Simon will report directly to Unisys' global financial services leader Eric Crabtree.
Eric said: “Simon's appointment is testament to the transformational work we are doing for financial institutions.
“In his new role, Simon will pioneer digital strategies and advise on technology strategy to help us deliver better customer experience for the banks we do business with.”
