Tikkie is a smart payment solution which allows customers to be repaid, free of charge, for payments such as jointly purchased presents, a restaurant bill or tickets for an event.

Payment requests can be sent through the app to one or more people at the same time.

Tikkie is available to anyone, regardless of where they have their bank account, and only the person receiving the money needs to have the app.

Already rolled-out in the Netherlands, over two million people are now using the Tikkie app, which is available on iPhone and Android.

“Given the high level of interest, Moneyou has now decided to launch Tikkie in Germany,” said Gabi Helfenstein, Moneyou's Tikkie project leader.

“This innovative app means friends and family can now avoid the unpleasantness of having to chase payments or make cash payments back and forwards, or the inconvenience of having to ask for IBANs [international bank account numbers].”

The app's software solutions were jointly developed with the Munich-based FinTecSystems.
