Arbuthnot Latham & Co has announced a string of senior appointments in a bid to drive further growth in the coming years.
The private and commercial banking and wealth management arm of the Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC has hired a new managing director of business development, a business transformation director, a head of information and cyber security, a head of wealth planning and a director of investment management.
Nick Bailey has been appointed as managing director of business development and previously held senior roles at RBS.
“I am thrilled to be joining Arbuthnot Latham at this important time with a number of new and innovative opportunities to grow the business on the horizon,” said Mr Bailey.
“I am very much looking forward to seeing these come to fruition in the near future.”
Dean Moore has joined the bank as head of wealth planning and brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the wealth industry, having worked for firms such as Barclays Wealth, Hargreaves Lansdown and HSBC.
“I am delighted to be joining Arbuthnot Latham with its strong heritage and client centric ethos.
“I am looking forward to developing strong client relationships through our wealth management offer.”
The bank has appointed Nick Ellis-Calcott as its business transformation director.
He joins after recently serving as chief technology director at Shawbrook Bank.
“I am extremely proud to join such a highly regarded bank such as Arbuthnot Latham, especially at this important stage of its development,” said Mr Ellis-Calcott.
“I have been impressed with the infrastructure that exists today as well as the friendliness of the people and I'm looking forward to [helping to] deliver the bank's strategic objectives.”
Colin MacKenzie has also joined the specialist bank as a director of investment management at its London office.
He arrives having previously held senior positions at Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse Private Banking and Coutts & Co.
“Arbuthnot Latham is a truly agile bank, which proactively seeks out growth opportunities and I'm thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time in the bank's journey,” said Colin.
“I look forward to leading a team of remarkably talented portfolio managers, working in sync with our bankers and wealth planners, to deliver exceptional service and attractive outcomes to our wide range of clients and thus help drive business growth in 2018 and beyond.”
Finally, Andy Rushmer has been appointed as head of information and cyber security – a newly created role.
He has joined from Shawbrook Bank, where he helped define and deliver the bank's IT architecture, cyber strategy and risk appetite framework as head of IT.
“I am excited to join Arbuthnot Latham and have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of such a prestigious organisation.”
Speaking of the appointments, Ian Henderson, chief executive of Arbuthnot Latham (pictured above), added: “These appointments are testament to our solid growth strategy.”
