Ingela Forsberg is set to become the new head of Handelsbanken Northern UK.
Ingela – who currently works as regional area manager at Regional Bank Stockholm – will also become a member of the bank's senior management team.
She will replace John Parker, who will retire from the bank with effect from 31st March.
Handelsbanken started operating in Great Britain in 1982 and has a decentralised network of over 200 branches across the country.
Last year, the bank was found to have the most satisfied customers in Britain – both for individual and corporate banking – according to a survey by EPSI Rating Group.
Ingela's appointment is subject to the approval of the supervisory authority.
