Skipton increases proc fees to non-panel brokers

Skipton International has increased the procuration fees offered to all non-panel brokers to 06%.

The offer will apply to all new applications for Skipton's UK expat mortgages with the fee payable upon successful drawdown of the loan.

Panel brokers will continue to receive a 0.75% procurement fee for all mortgage customers they introduce.

Nigel Pascoe, director of lending at Skipton International, said: “Buy-to-let remains a very popular long-term investment option for British expats and we are delighted to be able to pass on additional benefits to brokers through these products.

“We remain the preferred choice for a lot of brokers due to our attractive packages and prompt, efficient service.”

Skipton also provides an online calculator on its website, whereby brokers can determine the borrowing potential for their clients and estimated monthly repayments for both interest-only and capital repayment mortgages.

Skipton has reported it has seen a substantial rise in enquiries for expat mortgages during the past year, which it attributed to the devaluation of the pound following the EU referendum.
