Revolut introduces recurring payments

Martin Greenland | 15:39 Monday 23rd October 2017

Digital banking app Revolut has announced the launch of recurring payments for all customers.

This will allow them to make regular payments for bills – such as monthly rent or mortgages – alongside being able to regularly send money abroad to family and friends in just a few easy steps.

Recurring payments will also allow customers to make regular transfers to Revolut users, as well as to other bank accounts.

The payments can be sent as either a standard or turbo transfer, depending on how quickly customers want their payment to be made, and can be sent to any country in the world that uses Revolut's supported currencies.

When users set up a recurring payment, they can select either a weekly or monthly payment frequency, which can be easily edited once set up.

Users can also easily deactivate, reactivate, edit or delete their recurring transactions.

If users don't have enough funds in their account prior to a recurring payment, they will receive a push notification 24 hours before to remind them of the scheduled transfer.

Revolut will also notify users if their payment has been rejected or fails for any reason.
