Mobile bank Monzo has partnered with Deliveroo to allow users to split the bill on orders via its Monzome money request feature.
The Deliveroo team has built a new solution within its app which allows customers to share their Monzo.me link.
“'Split the bill' is probably one of our most requested features, and it's been on our roadmap since I joined the company over two years ago,” said Deliveroo designer James Storer in a post at Medium.com.
After placing an order, Deliveroo customers will be given the option to split the bill using Monzo and will be able to save their Monzo.me username.
They can then split the bill evenly with as many people as they like.
After Deliveroo has established the amount owed per person, a Monzo.me link is generated, with the amount owed and restaurant name.
Users can share their Monzo.me link through WhatsApp, Messenger or other options in the Android share sheet.
