Metro Bank has announced that it will be opening a branch in Swindon later this year.
p>The new branch – which will create 25 jobs for the local community – will offer personal, business and private banking services to Swindon residents and open early until late, 362 days a year.
Iain Kirkpatrick, managing director of retail banking at Metro Bank, said: “We're really excited to be opening in Swindon, not only has it been identified as one of the UK's 'fast-growth towns', but has a great buzz to it.
“We can't wait to welcome local residents and businesses to the banking revolution and give them the choice to bank when they want, where they want and how they want.
“All of this coupled with great customer service, helpful colleagues and technology that makes peoples' banking experience simpler.
The branch will be celebrating the expansion with two days of grand opening festivities later this year.
Earlier this month, the challenger bank announced it had purchased a portfolio of UK mortgages for £596.7m and entered into the buy-to-let mortgage market.
