Metro Bank is collaborating with Canadian technology firm Sensibill on the beta launch of its app-based receipt management technology.

Selected small business customers will be able to join the beta trial from this week.

The new feature is set to be released in early 2020 and will be free to all small business customers.

The app is designed to use a smartphone camera to capture receipts, which are automatically reconciled to the customer’s transaction history.

Paul Riseborough, chief commercial officer at Metro Bank, said: “By partnering with Sensibill, we’re offering an innovative, digital solution that solves real problems for our customers, saving them time spent on admin and allowing them to focus on running and growing their business.”

Corey Gross, co-founder and CEO at Sensibill, added: “Our partnership with Metro Bank demonstrates our shared focus to deliver customer-centric solutions that improve the financial wellbeing of banking customers.”
