Recognise Financial Services has appointed David Jenkins, as chief financial officer (pictured above), and Patrick Ferguson, as chief risk officer, to its executive team.

David joins from Aldermore, where he was director of finance and capital management and focused on SME banking, commercial and retail mortgages in addition to retail deposits.

He previously held leadership positions at Prudential, Lloyds and ABN AMRO.

Patrick — who has operated at both the executive and board level in retail financial services for the past 13 years — previously served as chief financial officer and finance director at Dunfermline Building Society, which was followed by nine years as risk strategy and planning director at Newcastle Building Society.

“[David and Patrick’s] impressive career profiles and knowledge adds to the breadth of expertise we now have sitting across our top team and will help continue to guide the business on the next step of our journey towards achieving a full banking licence and entering the market,” said Jason Oakley, CEO at Recognise.

David added: “This is a great opportunity to join an exciting new venture with an experienced team and a very credible business plan.”

Patrick also stated that the timing of his appointment was “opportune” as the lender had recently submitted its formal banking licence application.
