TSB has announced that Lorna Curry (pictured above) will become its new general counsel in January 2018.
p>The appointment follows the announcement by current general counsel Susan Crichton that she intends to retire at the end of next month.
Lorna's legal career spans more than 25 years and joins the challenger bank from GE Renewable Energy in Paris, where she also held the role of general counsel.
Lorna also spent six years as general counsel and company secretary for GE Capital Bank Limited with responsibility for legal, regulatory and governance advice across its UK banking and commercial financing business.
At TSB, Lorna will report to chief financial officer Ralph Coates, attend the bank's executive committee and be responsible for providing legal advice to the board and CEO on the bank's strategy.
“I am delighted to welcome Lorna at a significant time for TSB, as we continue to prepare for the migration to our new, state-of-the-art IT platform and we look to expand into the small business banking market,” said Ralph.
“With her wealth of experience, skill and industry know-how, Lorna will be invaluable in guiding senior management through this next chapter for TSB.”
