Starling Bank has partnered with Yoyo Wallet to allow its customers to collect loyalty points at a number of UK and Irish merchants.
Via the Yoyo Wallet app, they can collect points across the UK and Ireland at outlets including Planet Organic, Fernandez & Wells, Wrap it Up and HOP Vietnamese.
The mobile bank has used application programming interfaces (APIs) to allow its users to connect their Yoyo account to their Starling account from the Yoyo app.
Loyalty points can be collected when customers use Starling cards, ApplePay and Fitbit Pay at a merchant partner.
The bank has also announced its intention to bring Yoyo into the marketplace part of the Starling app.
At present, the Yoyo-Starling integration is only available on the iOS app, however, Android compatibility is expected to be introduced soon.
Also under development is the ability to collect stamps at merchants as well as points and the introduction of itemised receipts for everything bought at Yoyo retailers.
