Aldermore has named Tim Boag (pictured above) as its new group managing director of business finance.

Tim — whose appointment is subject to regulatory approval — has been working on an interim basis since June last year and held responsibility for invoice finance, asset finance and commercial real estate.

He joined the specialist bank after fulfilling a variety of roles with RBS and NatWest.

Tim was also previously on the management board of Lombard Asset Finance and a director on the board of the Business Growth Fund (BGF).

Phillip Monks, chief executive at Aldermore, said: “Since joining Aldermore, Tim’s commercial acumen and thoughtful executive leadership has already brought a great deal of success to business finance.

“His extensive industry experience means he will continue to drive our ambitions of becoming the first choice for businesses that need backing to help them fulfil their hopes and dreams.”
