The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has cleared the anticipated acquisition by OneSavings Bank (OSB) of Charter Court Financial Services Group.
This followed the CMA’s consideration — which was made on 5th June 2019 — about whether the transaction would result in a substantial lessening of competition within any market(s) across the UK for goods or services.
The CMA announced the original launch of the merger inquiry by notice to the parties on 4th June 2019.
OSB recently revealed in its latest update that it had grown its loan book by 5% in the three months to 31st March 2019.
