Shawbrook Bank has provided a £5.4m facility to Blue Sky Resorts to fund the purchase of the Spring Willows Leisure Park in Scarborough from the latter’s former landlord.
The specialist bank tailored a comprehensive loan facility for Blue Sky Resorts, which now operates five parks across the North of England and Scotland.
It had previously leased and operated Spring Willows for 11 years and will now own the park outright and be able to invest in new facilities, including a leisure complex, and increase the number of holiday homes on the site.
Mark Alston, joint managing director at Blue Sky Resorts, said: “The funding support gives us not only the ownership of the sites, but also the ability to invest, creating even better experiences for our customers.”
Jonathan Rostron, regional managing director at Shawbrook Bank (pictured above), added: “The team at Blue Sky are specialists in what they do, and they know the areas in which they operate.
“Their attention to detail is extraordinary and commitment to delivering great experiences for their customers is superb.”
