It has been confirmed that Alex Upton (pictured above) will be leaving Castle Trust to join Masthaven to become the specialist bank's sales director for its long-term lending division .
Alex is currently the managing director of mortgages at Castle Trust, a position she was recently promoted to having previously served as director of sales.
A date for Alex's departure has yet to be confirmed, but she paid tribute to Castle Trust and what has been achieved since she joined in 2013.
“I'm very proud of the team that we've built here at Castle Trust and am sure that the achievements of the business will continue as it transitions to become a bank.
“It has been a difficult decision to make, however, knowing that I leave the mortgage division in the hands of some of the best people in the industry makes it an easier decision to step aside from the established business that Castle Trust has become.”
Alex's role at Masthaven has been newly created and Matt Andrews, managing director of mortgages at Masthaven, said it reflected the considerable growth it had already achieved in 2018.
“We are delighted to be welcoming Alex Upton to the Masthaven team later this year.
“Alex brings a wealth of market experience and will be instrumental in helping us to successfully carry out the exciting plans we have laid out for the second half of the year.
“We look forward to working with such a high-calibre addition to the team.”
