Shawbrook Group PLC has announced the appointment of John Callender as its new chairman.
John will also chair the nomination committee and has been appointed as a member of the remuneration committee.
He has extensive financial services experience gained from both executive and non-executive positions.
John is the chairman of ANZ Bank (Europe) Limited and is senior independent director of FCE Bank PLC.
He previously served as a non-executive director at Aldermore Group PLC and Mobility Operations Group PLC.
John said: "I am delighted to be appointed chairman of Shawbrook at this exciting time for the bank.
“I look forward to working with the board and the Shawbrook management team; I'm confident we can collectively capitalise on the opportunities that lie ahead."
John will replace Iain Cornish who steps down after three years in the position.
